The January transfer window has closed now and most of the ISL clubs utilized it pretty well to bolster their squad. While there have been some surprising departures, there are some exciting new arrivals across the 11 clubs and they promise some great action over the course of the next few matches.

Here, we shall take a look at the fresh arrivals and the players who made an exit from different ISL clubs during this January transfer window.

FC Goa

The Gaurs were one of the quiet clubs in this January transfer window. They made only a few transfers but the ones they made are quality ones. FC Goa brought in two Indian players and one foreigner, whereas they also loaned out two and transferred out one Indian player.

Arrivals: Lenny Rodrigues, Nikhil Prabhu, Hernan Santana

Departures: Princeton Rebello, Glanville Martins (Loan), Phrangki Buam (Loan)

ATK Mohun Bagan

The Mariners were hit hard by injuries mid-season and that’s why they had to jump into the transfer market as soon as it opened. Florentin Pogba’s injury created a big void in defence and that’s why they had to rope in experienced defender Slavko Damjanovic. ATK Mohun Bagan also strengthened their defence by bringing in former NorthEast United FC star Federico Gallego. They also loaned Glan Martins from FC Goa while transferring out a couple of other players.

Arrivals: Slavko Damjanovic, Federico Gallego, Puitea, Glan Martins (loan)

Departures: Pronay Halder, Lenny Rodrigues

Bengaluru FC

The Blues were not involved in too much activity in this transfer window. They did struggle at the beginning of the season, but they have picked themselves up quite well since then. Hence, there is no cause for concern as things are going pretty well for them.

Arrivals: Ashish Jha

Departures: None

Chennaiyin FC

The Marina Machans didn’t feel the need to splurge too much in this window either. They just brought in talented Indian player Bikash Yumnam and loaned Givson Singh in. There were no departures from the club in this window, but Rafael Crivellaro did make an exit in December, just before the transfer window opened.

Arrivals: Bikash Yumnam, Givson Singh (Loan)

Departures: None

East Bengal

Things went wrong for East Bengal during the transfer window as a registration ban was enforced on them, which made them unable to register new players.

Arrivals: Jake Jervis

Departure: Aniket Jadhav

Hyderabad FC

The defending ISL champions are going all guns out in this edition as well and that’s why they were not involved in much activity during the transfer window. They did bring in talented defender Sajjad Hussain Parray from Gokulam Kerala on a long term deal, and then sent him back to Gokulam on loan once again.

Arrivals: Sajad Hussain Parray

Departures: Sajad Hussain Paray (loan), Alex Saji (loan), Sweden Fernandes (loan)

Kerala Blasters

The Blasters didn’t seem that worried about their squad or position in this season either. They transferred Danish Farooq in, whereas another talented player in Puitea left the club.

Arrivals: Danish Farooq

Departures : Puitea, Givson Singh (loan)

Mumbai City FC

The Islanders are still unbeaten in this ISL season and that sums up why head coach Des Buckingham is so happy with the squad. No departures were registered from the club in this window, but they did bring in a winger and goalkeeper to their squad, both Indian players.

Arrivals: Ahan Prakash, Gyamar Nikum

Departures : None

Jamshedpur FC

The Men of Steel were pretty active in the January transfer window. The ISL Shield winners from last season brought in Pronay Halder and Dylan Fox to strengthen their defence, whereas players like Wellington Priori, SK Sahil and Sandip Mandi also left after enduring a forgettable season.

Arrivals: Dylan Fox, Pronay Halder

Departures: Sandip Mandi, SK Sahil (loan)

NorthEast United FC

The Highlanders will be desperate for a change in their fortunes after the signings made by them in this transfer window. They are going through a pretty bad time and that’s why they have added defenders Hira Mondal and Alex Saji, and overseas forward Kule Mbombo to their squad. Two other players have made an exit as well, and NorthEast United will be looking for a change in their luck in the coming time ahead.

Arrivals: Hira Mondal, Kule Mbombo, Alex Saji (loan), Joseba Beitia

Departures: Matt Derbyshire, Jon Gaztanaga

Odisha FC

Odisha also made quite a number of moves in this window. However, the number of departures was higher than the number of players added to the squad.

Arrivals: Aniket Jadhav, Tankadhar Bag, Princeton Rebello

Departures: Sebastian Thangmuansang (loan), Lalhrezuala Sailing (loan), Dylan D’Silva (loan), Nikhil Prabhu
