An action-packed weekend is on the cards as we are all set to witness eight FIFA World Cup matches over the course of just two days. The contests over these two days could go on to decide the fate of many teams in this tournament and that’s why could be in to witness some intense battles as well.

Saturday

Tunisia vs Australia

Tunisia will kick off the action on Saturday with their second Group D encounter against Australia. They started their campaign with a goalless draw against Denmark, whereas Australia suffered a crushing 4-1 loss to France in their opening encounter. Overall, both these teams look evenly matched on paper but Tunisia are a bit stronger in defence. So, they could just edge past Australia here by a 1-0 scoreline.

Poland vs Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia have already shown what they are capable of doing when they pulled off a huge upset by beating Argentina 2-1 in their opening encounter. So, Poland can’t take them lightly in this match either. They started their campaign with a goalless draw against Mexico and will need to be resolute in defence once again in this encounter. Poland also need their star striker Robert Lewandowski to step up here. This match could go either way but there are high chances of a 1-1 draw.

France vs Denmark

Les Bleus will be the favourites to win once again. France started their campaign with a 4-1 win over Australia and they will be eager to carry their momentum forward. Denmark started with a goalless draw against Tunisia and showed how good they are as a defensive side. But defending against a rampaging France attack is going to be a different proposition. That’s why we are backing France to win 2-0 here.

Argentina vs Mexico

Argentina have to win this match to keep their chances of qualifying to the round of 16 alive. They suffered a humiliating loss to Saudi Arabia in their opening encounter and have to come up with a much better defensive and offensive performance here to make amends. Mexico, on the other hand, are a force to reckon on both sides of the pitch as well. There is quality everywhere and they also have the capability to catch Argentina off-guard. But Lionel Messi and Co are still expected to ace this encounter 2-1.

Sunday

Japan vs Costa Rica

Japan pulled off a huge upset as well when they defeated Germany in their opening encounter. Now they will be looking to carry the momentum forward into this match against Costa Rica, who suffered a massive 7-0 loss at the hands of Spain in the previous match. The Asian team are the favourites to win going into this contest and we back them to win 3-0 here.

Belgium vs Morocco

Belgium edged past Canada to win by a 1-0 scoreline in their opening encounter. That was quite an underwhelming performance from them considering the quality they have in their side. But they are expected to step up their performance a notch as they prepare to take on Morocco, who started their campaign with a goalless draw against Croatia. The Red Devils are expected to win 2-0 here.

Croatia vs Canada

Croatia will be desperately looking for a win here after dropping points in their draw against Morocco. They have a lot of experience and quality in their squad, that too at both ends of the pitch. Canada, on the other hand, are a spirited side but they don’t have enough penetrative ability in their offense. Croatia can be backed to win 2-0 here.

Spain vs Germany

This is going to be a mouth-watering contest as two giants of world football prepare to take on each other. Spain started their campaign with a massive 7-0 win over Costa Rica whereas the Germans suffered a shock 2-1 loss to Japan in their opening encounter. Spain have the momentum and confidence coming into this contest and we back them to win 2-1 here.
