Former Rajasthan United captain Hardik Bhatt is set to rejoin Mumbai City FC on a permanent deal, Khel Now has confirmed via a report. The Mumbai-born defender will sign a one-year contract with an option to extend for another year.
A source revealed the club’s interest in Bhatt: ” Everyone at Mumbai City liked Hardik’, especially after his loan stint in the 2022-23 season. The club also wanted to sign him twice last season, but they didn’t reach the consensus.”
The 27-year-old versatile full-back spent six months on loan at Mumbai City during the 2022-23 season. His performance was commendable, making him an option for the club. Last season, Bhatt played 14 games in the I-League. He provided two assists and played a crucial role in helping Rajasthan United maintain their league status.
Bhatt’s senior career began with ARA FC in the I-League second division, followed by a stint at FC Bengaluru United. In 2021, he moved to Rajasthan United, where he continued to hone his skills and prove his mettle on the field.
