The ICC’s annual recalibration considers all full-value T20I matches played since May 2024. At the same time, the previous two years’ games are weighted at 50 percent. This adjustment reflects the current form of international teams. India’s consistency over the past year has paid off.
India’s rise to the top was powered by their World Cup triumph and emphatic series victories. The Men in Blue recorded 3-0 whitewashes against both Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. They also won series with other heavyweights like England, South Africa, and Zimbabwe.
There have been no changes in the top six T20I team rankings. England, New Zealand, the West Indies, and South Africa keep their respective positions. Sri Lanka have edged past Pakistan to claim the seventh spot, signaling progress in their T20I performances.
Australia’s Travis Head remains the No. 1 T20I batter with 856 points in individual rankings. India’s rising star, Abhishek Sharma, is in hot pursuit, ranking second with 829 points. The top five is rounded off by England’s Phil Salt (815), India’s Tilak Varma (804), and the dynamic Indian skipper Suryakumar Yadav (739). The results mark a strong Indian presence in the global batting charts.
India’s Hardik Pandya reigns supreme among all-rounders. Spinner Varun Chakaravarthy has emerged as the highest-ranked Indian bowler, securing the No. 3 position.
Australia’s women dominate atop the T20I team rankings, followed by England and India. Beth Mooney (batting), Sophie Ecclestone (bowling), and Hayley Matthews (all-rounder) lead the individual charts for Australia, England, and the West Indies, respectively.
