“Luka’s experience and leadership are invaluable to the club,” a source close to Punjab FC was quoted as saying by Khel Now. “He knows the team and the league well, and the club is confident he’ll make an immediate impact.”
Majcen captained Punjab FC during their debut season in the Indian Super League (ISL). He has a commendable individual performance. Yet, the team failed to secure a playoff spot. He netted eight goals and contributed two assists, underlining his critical role in the squad.
After four seasons in India, his return to Punjab FC is a strategic move that will bolster the team’s attacking options. His journey in Indian football is noteworthy. He he is only the third foreign player, following Dudu Omagbemi and Katsumi Yusa, to have competed across the top three tiers of Indian football.
